DogsNZ Gisborne 5/6 Dec
The heat this weekend (30+degrees) was really hard on the dogs and add in a few distractions (tree nuts, birds and a cat) in and around search areas. Despite this all the dogs worked really hard and did exceptionally well.
Sharnie and Reilly: Saturday qualified Advance containers, Exterior, Vehicle with 1 Judges award and 2 Merits. Sunday qualified Advance containers and Exterior with 2 Merit awards. Also now has the qualifications for AES and ACS and can move to Excellent in exterior and containers.
Sue and Macy: a judges award for Adv interior, 2 merit awards for adv exterior and adv interior. Macy also qualified AVS and AIS and is now an Excellent dog in interior and vehicle.
Kimberlea and Archie: had an absolute blinder of a weekend and were successful in Novice 2x container A, 2x container B, 2x exterior, 2x interior, 1x vehicle. Judges choice for container A. Merit awards for interior, exterior and exterior.
Susan and Betty: 5 out of 10 successful novice searches (all on Saturday)
Steve and Fred: this is a new team, however, Saturday qualified in advanced exterior with a judges merit and Sunday qualified in advanced vehicle and exterior with 2 judges merits. Fred can now apply for AES and move to Excellent Exterior.
A special mention to:
Sue with Macy who were 1 of only 2 teams successful in Sundays advanced interior.
Sharnie and Reilly and Steve and Fred who were the only teams successful in Sundays advanced exterior.
